The LDA is working with industry to establish a supply of low/zero carbon energy to the Royal Docks. This may include the possibility of a decentralised electricity supply licence to supply low/zero carbon electricity. This initial phase is part of the LTGHN project and will form part of the heat transmission network to be constructed through out the London Thames Gateway. It is anticipated that the Royals network could supply the 13,000 new homes planned for the area.
